Elkem IntelliDriller

The IntelliDriller, developed by Pioneer Robotics, helps keep Elkem’s electrode paste production line running continuously. The robot takes over manual maintenance tasks that are traditionally performed by operators, ensuring consistent upkeep of the extruder holes.

By automating the drilling and maintenance process, IntelliDriller reduces downtime while also minimizing demanding and potentially hazardous work for operators. The system can operate in automatic mode, performing maintenance at regular intervals, or in manual mode, where operators select which hole to service and when. This flexible setup ensures both reliability and operator control in a critical production process
