Bandak AS

Bandak AS uses an IntelliWelder welding cobot integrated with a rotary table to manufacture canisters for subsea installation. These components are assembled from plates in different metals, requiring different welding wires for specific weld seams.

To address this, Pioneer Robotics equipped the IntelliWelder with an automatic tool-changing system and multiple torch packages, enabling seamless automatic switching between welding setups. The welding paths are programmed offline on a PC using Visual Components, making it possible to perform synchronized welding—with coordinated motion between the robot and the rotary table for efficient and precise production.
